Pella

Pella (known locally as Tabaqat Fahl) is one of Jordan's most significant archaeological sites, with evidence of human settlement spanning an incredible 6,000 years. Unlike many ancient sites that were abandoned, Pella was continuously inhabited from the Neolithic period through the Ottoman era, resulting in a fascinating multi-layered excavation. The site features ruins from the Greco-Roman, Byzantine, and Early Islamic periods, including theaters, baths, churches, and mosques. Set in a lush valley with natural springs, Pella offers not only historical significance but also beautiful landscapes and panoramic views of the Jordan Valley.
